TKO – A 20 Million Dollar difference!
Since purchasing TKO just over a month ago our primary use has been the development of our quality system in order to access that part of the industry where not having a quality system is a major barrier to being considered to tender. TKO and the template acted as an excellent guide building a quality system designed specifically for our business without going overboard.
Why TKO? We looked at five (5) similar systems before deciding on TKO. Some similar, some very different. TKO stood out as a system that can be developed easily in phases. The result is an almost immediate return on investment by enabling us to phase its implementation to suit our business needs.
Example: In the civil construction industry tenders need to be prepared to suit client requirements. HSE is usually a very large part of that. We decided if we are going to use TKO. Why not use it straight away. We got to work and turned our company Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Management Plan into an all encompassing HSE System covering all aspects of what we do. Together with some other TKO developments, these were presented as part of a major tender.
Anyone who has been through a tendering process knows that during tenders there is always a lot of back and forth with clients to clarify and/or confirm issues in the tender, that’s before you are even short listed. The TKO elements that we used were not once questioned. Rather we received compliments from the client.
The task of building a quality system for a business is a very intimidating thought, but TKO completely takes the intimidation out. For us TKO is a phased design and implementation quality system for our business, its design is great, and one person controls the entire system for everyone else to follow the correct process of the company.
TKO is an integral link to take us through and prepare for quality accreditation, which is critical in our industry and environment. It helps us secure tenders and new work including a recent tender of $20 million simply by evidencing our quality system in TKO.
NOTE: You may not be after quality accreditation, rather just wanting to systemize your workplace for no other reason than ensuring that everyone is on the same page regardless of what they do. TKO provides that flexibility, I believe that the fact we can apply it in a practical way so early in its development is proof of that.

Operating a dental practice brings with it a great responsibility to both our clients and staff wellbeing. As with most health service industries, there is the need to adhere to strict guidelines and operating procedures. We’ve always had written manuals however, we found these were never referred to. The lack of clarification and unclear expectations that staff had meant it was difficult to achieve our potential as a group, and individually.
Turn Key Operation has reformed how we operate. We are now all very clear on the business and client service goals. Our guidelines and procedures are so easy to update. I have great peace of mind that my business is running effectively, efficiently and with the structure needed for future growth.

I have over 20 years experience in quality management, education and entrepreneurship. I am currently the CEO/Director of AAPB a national not-for-profit association (the only bookkeeping association that has ISO 9001), Technical Education Director of a national registered training organisation, work with government on designing and developing national infrastructure for the bookkeeping industry as well as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
When TKO was first demonstrated to me I analysed it from four angles. This is my professional opinion.
Quality Manager (ISO 9001)
ISO 9001 is based on a frame work to achieve good working practice. It provides guidance on WHAT your system needs to include in order to reduce the risk of failure. TKO is an on-line tool that helps you tell HOW the system works.
TKO is a unique software that creates a four dimensional system. It provides all the necessary requirements to address ISO 9001 and factors in all the simple common mistakes that most business make. E.g.; document management, audit trail, authority/responsibility.
Educator
The TKO software addresses the difficulties in educating employees on business systems. Most people have heard of policies and procedures but to understand how policies and procedures create a complex business system is extremely difficult to comprehend as well as teach. TKO is a fantastic tool to make a system tangible so that people can physically see how the system works.
I was so impressed by TKO and how easy it is to use that we included the software in the quality management module within the new Certificate IV in Financial Services Bookkeeping course.
CEO/Director
Your business is only as good as your system. If your business can not produce the products/services your customers/clients expect, you will lose credibility and ultimately your business. TKO is an efficient tool that reduces; communication breakdown and the ambiguity over who is responsible. It also helps you identify the strengths and weakness of your business.
Employee
Employees like to have clear guidance on their responsibilities, how to perform their functions and how often it needs to be done. TKO addresses this need and provides it in a customised publication for each employee. Clear direction reduces the frustration of ambiguity which is one of the major factors that employees leave.
The above four angles are why we embraced TKO in our two firms and successfully introduced it to our employees and AAPB members. TKO is a must for any business requiring government governance. TKO is a practical tool that is easy to use by all. It doesn’t sit on the shelf collecting dust, it is an essential tool integrated into the success of your business.
